Companion Dog classes are for dogs 5 months and older.  The emphasis of this class is for handlers and their dogs to enjoy working with each other while developing appropriate manners for the community.  Positive reinforcement as a training technique is used to teach basic commands such as: sit, stay, down, come when called and walking on a loose leash.  The use of food and/or toy rewards is required for this class.  A demonstration of grooming products will also be provided during the session.
Puppy classes are for dogs 10 weeks to 6 months.  This puppy class will introduce you to basic training techniques that you will be able to use for the life of your dog.  Basic commands for sit, stay, down, come when called and walking on a loose leash will be introduced.  It is also an excellent opportunity to socialize your dog with puppies of other breeds.  A demonstration of grooming products will also be provided during the session.
*Large breed dogs five months or older that are already pulling on a leash may want to take the companion dog class.
